Recently, Wisson Robotics' aerial cleaning robot arrived in Kashi,Xinjiang – the westernmost city in China – to remove the "sand-laden old coat" from a local landmarkbuilding. The operation took place at Jianglai Shopping Park (JianglaiFinancial Center Tower) in the eastern new town of Kashi. This landmarkcommercial complex, integrating office spaces, a shopping center, and dining& entertainment facilities, is situated on the western edge of theTaklamakan Desert. Due to year-round drought and scarce rainfall, a thick layerof wind-blown sand and dust had accumulated on the glass curtain wall.Traditional rope-based "spider-man" high-altitude operations are notonly risky but also inefficient to meet the maintenance needs of a largecommercial complex.

To address this, Xinjiang Shangwu Aviation Development Co., Ltd., inpartnership with Wisson Faronheat®, deployed the Orion AP3-S1 Pliabot® AerialTethered Cleaning System for the building's curtain wall cleaning. This marksthe first practical application of an aerial cleaning robot in Kashi, openingup a brand-new scenario for smart city maintenance.

During the operation, the Faronheat® delivery team pre-demarcatedthe working area, completed the connection of the tethered water supplypipeline, and carried out equipment debugging. Then, the P3 aerial cleaningrobot took off along a preset route. Under the control of the drone operator, the P3 evenly sprayed cleaning agent onto the curtain wall surface via itsonboard nozzle. After the stains were fully dissolved, it sprayed water fromtop to bottom for rinsing. The flight attitude remained stable throughout.Leveraging the exclusive Pliabot® joints, the P3 could flexibly adjust thecleaning angle, easily reaching corners and gaps that are difficult to accesswith traditional ropes, achieving deep cleaning without blind spots.

This operation not only passed cleaning acceptance with high qualitybut also delivered impressive results in efficiency, environmental protection, and safety: cleaning approximately 500㎡ per hour, up to3,000㎡ per day – an efficiencyincrease of 4 to 5 times compared to traditional manual methods; no need forscaffolding or road closures, with zero disruption to normal mall operations;only 1.5 tons of water used for cleaning 2,000㎡,coupled with a self-developed eco-friendly cleaning agent, balancing cleaningquality with green and low-carbon principles.

Abidan Ablat, Manager of the Low-Altitiude Economy Department atXinjiang Shangwu Aviation Development Co., Ltd., stated that this practice hascreated the first demonstration project for high-rise building cleaning usingan aerial cleaning robot in the Kashi region, filling a local gap inlow-altitude building services. It not only improves the operational efficiencyof commercial complexes but also empowers Kashi's urban construction withlow-altitude innovative technology.

From a 250-meter-high revolving restaurant with a unique shape onthe banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, to the westernmost landmark inKashi, and then to broader international markets, Wisson Robotics is reshapingthe standards of the high-altitude cleaning industry with its Pliabot® softrobotics technology, ensuring that landmark buildings in every city can welcomevisitors from all over the world in their cleanest appearance.
