Recently, Wisson Faronheat® ecosystempartner, Suzhou Weifu Technology, successfully employed the Orion AP3-S1Pliabot® Aerial Tethered Cleaning System to carry out a comprehensive andin-depth cleaning of the exterior glass curtain wall and distinctive structuralfeatures of Suzhou Library. This initiative not only efficiently addressed thechallenge of cleaning complex architectural surfaces but also utilizedtechnology to preserve the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of this publiccultural space.

As a significant cultural landmark inSuzhou, the Suzhou Contemporary Art Museum features a unique architecturalstyle. Its exterior, characterized by extensive use of concave,vertically-striped glass, creates rich light and shadow effects while presentingconsiderable challenges for routine maintenance. As a Wisson Faronheat®ecosystem partner in the Suzhou area, Suzhou Weifu Technology is dedicated toproviding high-quality, intelligent cleaning services for local landmarks.Following a detailed site survey, the on-site delivery team found that theareas to be cleaned included not only typical dust and dirt deposits but alsoresidual expanding foam from construction and stubborn acid-etched marks fromlong-term exposure. The concave, vertically-striped glass, in particular, wasprone to accumulating grime and was often obstructed by surrounding structures.Traditional manual cleaning methods using rope access were unable to reachthese死角 and posed significant safety risks associatedwith high-altitude work, with efficiency failing to meet the museum’s daily operational requirements.
In response, Suzhou Weifu Technology, incollaboration with the Wisson Faronheat® team, developed a specialized cleaningplan utilizing the Orion AP3-S1 Pliabot® Aerial Tethered Cleaning System forthe job. During operation, the AP3-P3 robot, the core component of the AP3-S1system, leveraged its proprietary Pliabot® joints and tactile AI technology, demonstrating exceptional environmental adaptability and powerful cleaningperformance:
**Unimpeded by Obstructions, Ultra-CloseProximity Operation:** When faced with concave, vertically-striped glass andareas with obstacles, the P3 robot utilized its intelligent active and passiveadaptive balance capabilities to flexibly absorb unexpected collisions, resistairflow disturbances, and achieve precise, multi-angle cleaning at close range. This ensured that high-pressure water and cleaning agents reached the root ofstubborn stains, effectively dislodging them.
**Powerful and Effective, EliminatingStubborn Stains:** To tackle stubborn contaminants like expanding foam andacid-etched marks, the P3 robot leveraged the precise control enabled by itsPliabot® joints. This was combined with Wisson's proprietary AP-P seriesspecialized cleaning agents, which are formulated to be environmentallyfriendly while ensuring efficient stain removal and effectively protecting theglass surface from damage, fully embodying the concept of green cleaning.
**Safe and Efficient, Minimizing Disruptionto Public Services:** Compared to traditional manual methods, the AP3-S1 systemrequired no scaffolding or high-altitude rigging, offering flexible operationand rapid deployment. The flight control team efficiently carried outoperations during library closure or periods of low visitor traffic, minimizingdisruption to readers and the library's normal functioning.
Following the intensive and orderlyoperation, the exterior facade of Suzhou Library was revitalized. Not only wasthe dust and dirt thoroughly removed, but the accumulated expanding foam andacid-etched marks were also effectively eliminated. The glass curtain wall wasrestored to its former clarity and brightness. The overall cleaning resultsfully met expectations and passed client acceptance smoothly.
