Wisson's P3 Robot Easily Solves the Challenge of Dirty and Hard-to-Clean Exterior Walls of Waterfront Buildings

2025-08-21

In urban construction, areas along rivers and lakes, leveraging their unique geographical advantages and landscape value, have become gathering places for many high-rise buildings. However, while enjoying the scenic views, these buildings face the tough problem of exterior walls that are prone to dirt and difficult to clean.

In waterfront regions, the air is relatively more humid, causing dust particles to condense and adhere more easily to building exterior surfaces. In humid environments, the adhesion between stains and walls further increases, making cleaning work more challenging. Additionally, limited by climatic conditions, manual cleaning of exterior walls in waterfront areas is more difficult and time-consuming. Prolonged accumulation of dirt further exacerbates cleaning difficulty, often requiring more human and material resources.

Faced with high-frequency cleaning demands and challenges of traditional manual operations, an increasing number of property owners and management companies are adopting drone cleaning for high-rise curtain wall cleaning to improve efficiency and reduce costs. However, current drone cleaning technology is still in its early stages of development, with inconsistent results. Especially in waterfront areas, where climatic conditions are unstable and dirt adhesion is strong, ordinary cleaning drones often fail to meet client needs due to unstable flight, excessive cleaning distance, and limited cleaning techniques.

To address this, Wisson Technology, based on extensive operational practices and cases, has developed a highly targeted solution to easily solve the above problems. Leveraging the Pliabot® Flexible Embodied Intelligent Robot Technology, Wisson's AP3-P3 Flexible Tethered Cleaning System offers higher safety with zero-distance operation and disturbance resistance, as well as higher cleanliness with no dead zones and no traces: The flexible embodied intelligent architecture, composed of Pliabot® flexible joints and tactile AI, features intelligent active-passive adaptive balancing capabilities. It effectively resists flight recoil and airflow disturbances, flexibly mitigates accidental collisions, enabling "zero-distance" operation for cleaning drones and fully utilizing spray pressure. Meanwhile, the flexible joints allow for multi-angle precise pneumatic control, ensuring comprehensive cleaning with no dead zones.

Case Study

Yuexiu International Financial Center & Shanghai Global Metropolis Plaza

The Guangzhou Yuexiu International Financial Center, located in Nansha Mingzhu Bay, is a "new city landmark" built by Yuexiu Group, featuring the grandeur of three rivers converging. The Shanghai Global Metropolis Plaza, situated in Pudong New Area, enjoys a prime location along the Huangpu River, offering unique geographical and visual advantages.

While enjoying the panoramic views of surrounding rivers, both buildings face severe challenges in daily property management, particularly in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of their exterior walls. To improve the efficiency and quality of daily cleaning, the property management teams of both locations recently chose Wisson's AP3-P3 Flexible Tethered Cleaning System for glass curtain wall cleaning.

Operation Results

Compared to traditional manual operations, efficiency was improved by 3-5 times, with costs reduced by approximately 40%. The cleaning results met expectations, particularly effectively solving the problems of long cleaning cycles and high difficulty associated with manual operations. The project successfully passed the property management's acceptance.
